How To's, What For's and Why Not's
Over the years, many remedies and anecdotes have arisen regarding chickens. There are the old time methods used by your parents, grand parents and even those before them. Then there is the new ways of thinking that have come about through trial and error. And as they say “necessity is the mother of invention”. So in this section we will try to cover many different aspects of back yard poultry raising. And keep in mind that what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. This is kind of a back to basics, get away from the commercial products type section that maybe you can find something that will work for you as well.
So, along with how to build things, we will touch on a vast array of subject material. Such as breeding, egg laying, transitioning and maybe even a recipe or two. Like they have always said "The meaner the rooster, the better he tastes". We will try to keep this in some kind of order but then again sometimes the hunt can be as much fun as the trophy.
You will find that each section of this web site will always be changing. Unless the information drastically changes due to mis-information or a radical change of procedure, we will not delete information. So if you found it once, you should be able to find it here again. Like was mentioned before, what works for one, may not work for all. So you just never know what information might be useful.
